6-day Canadian Mule Deer Hunt (Alberta)

November, when the rut (mating season) is in high gear, is the best time to hunt fully mature, Canadian mule deer bucks. Preoccupied with chasing does in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, properly equipped hunters capitalize on the active nature of these beautiful animals and complete an exhilarating hunting adventure. For an added fee, this hunt is easily paired with a whitetail deer, waterfowl, and/or predator hunt.

The 6-day Mule Deer Hunt runs from the end of October to the end of November.

Upon arriving in Calgary, our clients are accompanied by 888Adventures to our comfortable hunting cabin for some rest and relaxation. A thorough instruction of hunting ethics and tactics as well as firearm handling and safety procedures are covered.  

​

When ready, our driver will deliver us into the hunting areas where many animals will be spotted -- even from the vehicles. High quality optics will aid us as we observe dozens of mule deer until we find the ideal buck to stalk. Several tracts of land are inaccessible by vehicle yet hold numerous herds of deer. Hiking into these areas provides greater opportunity for multiple stalks for the adrenaline junky. In the end, your guide will hike as much or as little as the client desires, as experience has proven we can help you find a big, mature buck regardless of physical abilities.

After a potentially rugged but memorable day of hunting, our cozy hunting cabin by a calm river provides a warm welcome upon your return each night. Home-style meals are prepared daily, giving you a true hunting experience​. If preferred, clients or large groups wanting more commercial accommodations can be escorted daily to local hotel properties a short drive away.

U.S. clients wishing to return with hides, antlers and/or meat are permitted to do so from Canada. For those wishing to donate meat to local charities, 888Adventures is happy to make arrangements with our local contacts.
