African Plains Game Hunting (Namibia)

Our world--class hunting and accommodations epitomize "luxury hunting."

We welcome you to our own 24,000 hectares (59,000 acres) of private land dedicated to hunting.  Our game and land management practices allows a healthy population of thousands of animals to roam freely while maturing to impressive sizes.

After arriving at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek, Namibia, we'll take care of the rest.  After a convenient, one-hour drive to the property, you'll unwind in our five-star hunting lodge. When ready, after a brief orientation of hunting ethics, tactics and firearm safety, your party will be escorted to the shooting range for target practice.  Instruction will be given in the operation and use of our firearms.

Each day of this once-in-a-lifetime excursion, trained guides and drivers will transport you in off-road vehicles into the hunting areas.  Within minutes we'll spot wild animals unlike you've ever seen. Once your preferred species has been identified, the group will head out on foot on an adrenalin-rushed stalk to achieve shooting range. Ever considerate of your needs, we can walk (or crawl) according to your comfort.  Walking allows us to access areas of the property where animals go undetected by vehicle-bound hunters.  All harvested animals are immediately cared for by our professional lodge staff.

In-between the action-packed days of hunting, see how the locals live and let us guide you on a day trip to visit the nearby village, as well as a sightseeing and shopping tour of the tranquil capital of  Windhoek, the "city of many faces."  Our friendly guides will be by your side at all times in the field and while visiting the villages and city.

Our recently expanded lodge is your home away from home -- maybe even better! Stroll the grounds; sip a cool drink -- or two -- under a shady tree; escape in a good book while being caressed by our gentle, outdoor fans; grab your camera and explore the exotic African vegetation; or take a refreshing dip in our outdoor pool.  And get your Facebook page ready because no one back home will believe it when they see you petting and feeding our elegant cheetahs! Comfortable around visitors, our purring cats were raised since kittens and are completely safe. Contained in a custom-made 16-acre enclosure, you'll find them as friendly as a house pet!

Though guests come for the hunting, our lodge soon becomes an attraction with its comfortable private bedrooms and bathrooms and main lounging and dining area. Clients are served three mouthwatering meals a day with Namibian beef and mutton and local meats -- all prepared by our in-house chef. Guests also enjoy a variety of beverages and Namibian wines.

Due to import laws, clients may not return home with harvested game meat.  Harvested animals are consumed by onsite guests, lodge staff, and donated to local schools. 888Adventures will prepare harvested animals for taxidermy and shipping back to the home of our clients, who may use a Namibian taxidermist or one back home. All shipping and taxidermy costs are covered by the client.
