Deschutes River Float Adventure (Oregon, Western USA)

Relax as our secure drift boats peacefully glide down the lower Deschutes River.  This section is rated mostly calm, with only a few, small rapids interspersed throughout.  The high desert and rock formations of the Deschutes River Canyon offer a stark contrast to the clear, cool water flowing off the Cascade Range. The fishing, and fly fishing in particular, is excellent.  Expect to catch the famous redband trout along with other fish species. September and October offer the opportunity to catch hard-fighting summer steelhead, fresh in from the ocean.

You control when and where you fish -- just tell your guide to stop at the bank!  Prepare to see local wildlife such as mule deer and bighorn sheep on the surrounding banks and mountains.

As evening approaches, you'll float into a fully-stocked camp already prepared for you and your party and sit down to a hot meal and local wines.  We can accommodate large groups up to 24 people for this trip if booked well in advance.  We offer this float trip from spring through fall.
